This year, something truly special happened. I was invited to attend World Travel Market 2025 in London as a media guest—and even as I write this, it still fills me with gratitude. Walking into ExCeL London with that media badge around my neck felt surreal while stepping into a zone where every country, every culture, and every idea was waiting to share a story.
As a writer and someone who has built a life around exploring moments, places, and emotions, WTM was the opportunity through which the world had opened its doors just for me.

Stepping into a World of Cultures
The moment I entered the exhibition halls, I had a surge of excitement—the familiar hum of voices, colourful displays, traditional music, and the warmth of people proudly representing their homelands.

I wandered through the pavilions like a child in a global playground:
- Greece made me nostalgic with soft blues and stories of peaceful islands.
- Japan mesmerised me with quiet innovation and immersive cultural experiences.
- The Middle Eastern countries dazzled with hospitality, luxury, and ancient tales woven into modern tourism.
- Europe felt like a comforting friend, offering sustainable routes, local secrets, and soulful journeys.
- Africa pulsed with energy—rhythms, wildlife, smiles, and a deep connection to nature.
- Visiting the Incredible India section connected me with my home country in London.
Every section I turned to, every conversation I had, added a new layer to my understanding of the world.
Conversations That Stayed with Me
One of the biggest joys of attending WTM as a media person was meeting people whose passion shapes the way we experience travel.
I remember speaking with a tourism board director who said,
“Travel is not about movement—it’s a revolution of change in people’s lives.”
That stayed with me.
I met campaign managers who shared their dreams for the next big season, hoteliers who were excited about redefining hospitality, sustainability innovators who were pouring their hearts into protecting the planet, and fellow creators whose eyes lit up the same way mine did when we shared our travel stories.
These weren’t just professional interactions—they were moments of connection, where strangers briefly became collaborators in the shared love of travel.
The Trends That Moved Me
WTM wasn’t just a giant exhibition—it was a reflection of how travel is evolving into something more intentional and human.
Sustainability that feels personal
Destinations spoke about protecting not just landscapes, but communities and cultures.
Technology that brings us closer
The AI tools in the event weren’t about replacing human touch—they were about enhancing it, making travel more accessible and personalised.
Wellness and healing through travel
There was a beautiful focus on journeys that help us reconnect—with nature, with ourselves, and with the world.
The rise of slow, meaningful experiences
More than ever, travel felt like an invitation to pause, breathe, and belong.
What WTM Meant to Me as a Travel Writer
Being there reminded me of why I started Travel To Muse in the first place.
For me, travel is not just about ticking places off a list—it’s about listening to people, understanding cultures, and capturing stories that deserve to be told. At WTM, surrounded by the world in one place, I felt that purpose more deeply than ever.
It was a moment of affirmation—of growth, gratitude, and belonging to a community that believes travel can change lives.
I plugged my notebook with ideas, my camera with moments, and my heart with inspiration.
It was a reminder of why I love what I do.
A Heart Full of Inspiration, Yet Bereaved
I had to walk out of WTM 2025 on the second half of 4th November, the first day of the WTM event, because I received news about the demise of my father.
I couldn’t believe my ears, but I held myself back and booked a cab to my home. WTM was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, even though I never imagined that its memory would be linked to a personal loss.
